So, picked this up thinking it said 429 rather than 424. Designed to cast a bullet with 2 lube grooves, not a ball.
Input on what this was made to cast? I thought it was .44mag but question that now.
Thanks in advance for advice/input on it.

Maybe .43 Spanish but just a guess.

Not a .43 Spanish unless you want to hear the boolit rattle it's way down the barrel. My .43 Spanish takes a .439 boolit. It's a fun shooter.
Any other guesses? Too big for the 416 Rigby, the 41 caliber pistols, or the english 450/400 kind of calibers.
