My guess is that Alliant’s 6g max cuts off at 18,500 psi and Brian Pearce’s 6.3g load is 20,000 psi. Just curious if anyone has experience with the 6.3g load.

I have shot a bunch of it. It is a little bit too much to shoot a bunch out of a nice vintage revolver. The pressure is fine, but recoil is recoil and that much recoil will make even a Model 10 develop endshake. Ask me how I know. It is a good accurate load and I use it to ding steel out to 100 yards from my 357 revolvers. 1050 fps is much flatter shooting than 750 fps.

I tested it in a ca undercover using the lyman 358156 bullet casting hp's with 2 different sized pins. Was getting 950fps out of that 2" bbl'd snubnosed revolver.
