An acquaintance of mine from another web site has contracted Guilian- Barre syndrome and is in dire need of prayer. This has been going on for nigh on to two months now. He is making some improvement occasionally but, has had many other issues crop up. His wife is the strongest woman I have ever seen while being at her husband bedside! Their children miss him greatly and also miss their mom as she at the hospital daily. His name is Zach Langbach. Please pray for him and family.

Here's a little update on Zach. He is getting some feeling in the extremities and is able to move his head a bit. He is able to breath on his own for a few minutes and then has to be on the machine. Some feeling and cramping has come back. This has been going on for six weeks now but please don't give up praying on him and family. Here's a update on Zach. Yesterday he was able to be off the breathing machine for 5 1/2 hours and is having some better facial movements.A little more feelings in the extremities. Do still pray for him and family.

Here is an update on Zach. Yesterday two hours into treatment his blood pressure dropped too low so they suspended treatment till today. Seems that now and then setbacks occur, just have to not get discouraged. Although he is getting more feelings back so that's good.

Latest update on Zach. He went 12 hours breathing on his own two days ago and has had slight movement in his upper legs. Yesterday he has gotten a case of pneumonia so that has to be taken care of. Please keep him in your prayers still.

Another up date on Zach. Yesterday he was able to sit up for 13 1/2 hours and off the breathing machine! Some mussels are waking up bit by bit now. It seems that every other day he's getting stronger so please keep up the prayers.

Zach is making good progress! He's been 82 hours with reduced help of the machine and on Monday will try weaning him off for a period of time. He's getting some movement in neck and shoulder muscles but not in his face yet. The family is very thankful for all your prayers.

Not a whole lot has been happening with his progress, it's been very slow going. The Doctor have been able to dial down the pressure on his Cpap machine at times but then have to re program it. His diaphram mussels are still too weak. There's been a little more movement in his extremities so that's a plus. Still keep him in your prayers.

Zach has had his blood gases level get too high so he's had to have his treatments slowed down for a day. Please pray for his mussels to respond more to the treatment's he's getting. Gosh this has to be a strain on every one involved! Thanks again warriors.

Yesterday the Docs' had Zach sit on the edge of the bed and it took three people to hold him there as he has no control for muscles. His body has to reteach all the nerves what to do! Gosh this has to be very hard! So keep on praying!

Zach was off the ventilator for eight hours this last Saturday and was doing some arm and leg movements with help. Still not strong enough to do on his own though. It is a long process so please keep him in your prayers.

Zach is making progress! He has been off the vent machine now for 96 hours and his blood gasses are in the ballpark now. He is now starting to take some food. He had vanilla ice cream and was able to swallow it. They have to work on his swallowing muscles so he won't get aspirated. Still not getting good movement in feet and hands but they are working on it. So keep him and his wife Emily and family in your prayers.

Zach has made some good improvement! He has been able to eat food even if it is hospital food! His swallowing has improved and is able cough and speak a little now. Hopefully they can remove the trach this week and continue in hospital rehab. Keep up the prayers for him and family.

Zach is at home now doing therapy. He is able to speak with effort. Mussel weakness is still an issue especially the diaphragm and coughing. They are still working on the mussels in arms and legs. He says thank you all for your prayers.
