Corbin .22 jackets??????

I didn't want to high jack someones thread so I'm starting this one. Under the heading of .22 jackets I saw this thread. Can someone tell me what these guys are doing? For what kind of rifle are they making jacketed bullets out of .22 cases?

They are making 22 caliber, jacketed bullets out of 22 rimfire cases. The bullets can be used in any centerfire 22 caliber (rifle or pistol) casing.
Best if not used in 22-250 or 220 Swift due to the high velocities of these two. The 22 rimfire cased bullets should be kept below about 3200 to 3400 fps or they will strip material off the jackets and leave it in the barrel. A real pain to get out.
They work great in 22 Hornet, 222, 223, 22BR and other 22 centerfire cases.

The idea is to make inexpensive, "home rolled" bullets from free 22 rimfire casings and scrap pure lead.
Swage em, load em, shoot em.

I bought the die set and ram for a Rockchucker years back in 1994 from a company called "SportFlite". They have since closed shop. I think I payed 120$ for the whole kit. Sorry!

I've fired my homemade Corbin .22 jacketed bullets up to 3600 fps. in my 22/250 with no problems at all and 3/4" 100 yard groups.

Or, become a Tool & Die Maker and become poor. Then you could make your own stuff and save a whole whack of money to spend on more gun stuff and become poorer. Sound familiar, do you see a pattern here.
