I've been using 'Rooster Jacket' for a few years in my .45-90 and it seems to work pretty well.
If you thin it with mineral spirits, it makes a good patch lube.
Any one else have any experience with it?

Do you wet the patch prior to wrapping, or do you dip the bullets after you wrap them? What benefits have you had with the Rooster Jacket over a plain dry patch? How are wiping between shots.

I used to use it as a pre-lube in the bore of my Silhouette pistols.

I put the patch on wet, let it dry and then wipe on a coat of Rooster Jacket with my fingers.
I haven't tried a dry patch.

I use it the same way, only for smokeless paper patching. It works pretty well in that application too.
