just bid on 2 hi-power magazines that are listed as "mousetrap" magazines. what is that??

Because of the magazine safety in the Hi Power when you hit the magazine release the magazines don't drop much or free fall. The Mouse Trap is a "U" shaped wire on the outside, back, bottom of the magazine. It looks like the wire on an old fashion mouse trap. It's a spring that fit against the pistols frame bottom when the magazine is inserted and helps get the magazine moving when you hit the magazine release.

I prefer the mags minus the mousetrap. FYI, cheapo Pro Mags actually work really well.

Your welcome. I don't have any of the mouse traps. For magazines I've the factory Hi Power magazines that came with mine but mostly use Mec Gar aftermarket magazines.
