I've been searching here and elsewhere for the bore dimensions for my recently acquired Henry H010g steel side gate 45/70. All I could find was the dimensions for the Henry single shot. Then I decided to get off my butt and slug the bore myself. Which I should have done in the first place. My bad. Anyhow, after pushing 2 slugs down the bore, I came up with .456 and I'm really happy about it. I have hundreds of .452 plain base gas checks and they snap nicely onto these .457 340s and .457 405s which drop at .4585 and .4590 consistently. Now I'm just waiting patiently for my .458 sizing die to arrive.
