Took an extra day of vacation for myself and spending time at the range. About 6" of snow on the ground and 3 degrees when I left the house. Using a Springfield. 222 with cast boolits. Fun!!

Sounds awesome. A deer blind and a buddy heater would help too!

Sounds like fun.

I go to the range when the weathers bad too.
It was good practice when I used to hunt since every time I went the weather was bad anyway.
Plus-- It keeps the crowd down since all the wimps stay home.

Haha, I've been at the the range 4 times in the past 7 days. Only saw another person once.

I rather doubt anybody else will be there when that Artic weather hits town in a day or so.
Watching the forecasts- I think I'd wimp out on that too:bigsmyl2:

I'd love to go to the range, but it has been closed for the past couple of months and probably will not reopen until February of next year.

My range is open year round stubshaft, if ya dare to visit this far across the Mason Dixon line.

I would if I could, but it is a long, wet drive from Hawaii! Although the possibility of some bourbon might just make it worth my while...

Bourbon by the barrel just up the road. I don’t partake myself unfortunately. Shame daddy was an alcoholic, or I’d enjoy a nip on occasion. But I always been afeard I wouldn’t be able to stop.

When the weather is that bad I just shoot from the back porch.

Bazoo is so right....it took me to age 70 to put a buddy heater in my blind....it is so much more comfortable and I only need run it for 10-12 minutes on low and then able to turn it off for 20 to 30 minutes before necessary to reheat for a few minutes....that time frame is with my windows open....good hunting and a Merry Christmas to you all!

Don't learn much shooting in fair weather ? Shoot in the rain or snow and you can see the bullet trace. You will learn in adverse conditions. At least, I do......
