Looks like the the new cylinder side venting mod. All the cool kids are running them. C'mon man, get with the program.

it is a .44 mag - tried downsizing to .38 special as suggested, but did not fit the die, no matter how hard I pressed.... Then resized to .44 again, added some super glue and looks much better now!
Did you try some JB Weld? :-)

JB Weld is great! But it's really hard on sizing dies. ;)
