Want to feed it with either the LAR 180 RNFP GC or the Ranch Dog version.
Hope to see what it will do with "200" grainer from a Group buy of long ago. Seems like it was 220 grains in my alloy prepped and ready to go!
Hunting velocity for sure and plinker with other plain base boolits.

Any suggestions for either

Anyone have any success stories with that boolit for deer?

Never used it, but don't see why it wouldn't.
I shoot 200 gr from either my Lyman 205 rn or Lee's rfn.

My Response as well... I am in lust with My 35 Rem. A Converted Large Ring Mauser... so Strong...
Pushing the 200gr RF with a Check right along!!! I tried some PB 180's from a Member.. Not for me... because I have a 357 Mag Contender for such... I load those Long so they do Not end up in a Revolver!!
Anyhow... I personally feel that the 35Remmy is almost Perfect for Cast Boolits... so... get out there and Have some Fun with it!!!

Edit: my records show I used Red Dot, and Unique (Unique gave the Accuracy edge) with that 180 gr PB boolit which I think was designed for the Legend.
Reloader 7, gets the Nod for "business" at my Farm...
As an Aside... I have had really great results with a RF 230 gr GC design... Unfortunately, I do Not know its Origin..
But, I will identify it, and get More... it works!!!

I don’t cast them, but have had good luck in my Marlin with with a gas checked bullet from “Matts Bullets.”

My Notes:
Marlin 20inch/205grain Matt's Bullets/gas checked/18.9g 2400/Wolf PistolPrimer/1611fps@76 degrees/4 shots SD=26/Better than 1.5 moa @100yards.

Excellent... May should do something like that in the old Model 141!!!!
I do Not want a load for the Mauser getting into the Remington Pump... so need a Visually Differnt Boolit Style...

That sounds like what my heavy boolit from a long ago Group Buy looks like.
I'd like to try in in the mix.

Anyone know what the maximum length is that will feed/function through the 336 action.
The 180s will not be a problem except for possible boolit shape chamber dimensions/leade issues.

I run the hard cast 200 grain RCBS flat nose plain base in my 35s. I PC shake and bake the bullets using a hardware cloth box, bullets baked nose down, then sized to the actual groove diameter. I have a 12, 14, 16 and a 20 twist, rifles, they all shoot well.
Would suggest a good dose of 1680, that will do lower and higher loads in the 35 Rem case capacity. But 4198, 4895, 2520, 2015, H-335, basically the medium case capacity powders, that work in a 30-30 case capacity size.

If I had to describe it... it is Pretty much exactly the RCBS 200 RF, except slightly (not much) longer, and has 2 lube grooves, vs 1..
Now, I do Not know from which Mold either came from... they were purchased from an old Guy that used to Cast Mountains of Booits, and we got along well...so I used (still using) a very large quantity of his "product".
the single lube groove "200" weighs in the low 2-teens, and the 230gr 2 lube groove Boolit, weighs in the high 220's... so... could conceivably, both be designed as 200 RF... maybe... IDK
Not much help huh??

Tell me about these 1680 loads.
I had 8 pounds and someone gave me 8 pounds so I am flush with 1680.

Still looking for a cartridge max OAL that will feed through the action

nothing to do with a .35 Rem, but 1680 is my go-to for the 22 hornet.... and 16 pounds should load about 8600 rounds for you. That oughtta last you a while.... :-P

Distance was around 60 yds.

I have not tried the 200 CRNFPs yet, but the 180,190 either Lar45 or RD boolits make contact with the "leade" and are pushed back into the case.

8 gr. Unique with 160 RN hit to point of aim at 50.

First rain free day when I am free (since I got enough brass to load) and did not get to shoot much but enough to see I am minute of deer at 50 (coated projies) and most places I go 50 is about the max distance I will have a shot
