hi guys its fasthands again
this time i seam to be having some difficulties with my old rifle its a uberti 1873 357 mag with a 24 inch barrel
from the day i got this thing it had been a tack driver
by far the most accurate rifle i own, 38 special or 357 mag it didnt matter this gun would hit
unfortunately recently i had a case head blow off and the hull get stuck in the chamber
i left it sitting untill i had time to resolve the issue which i did
the chamber and barrel all look to be in good condition but it now seams to be throwing strange angles
anyone have any advice to get this old machine running right

What do you mean, throwing strange angles?

How is your headspace? A pressure level that would take the head off a .357 shell might have bent or stressed the linkage, and loosened it up. Not having your rifle tightly breeched could cause inaccuracy.

Can you close the action on a feeler gauge? How thick of a one does it close on?

i dont believe it had to much pressure
it was one of my old 38 cases that had been reloaded too much
i missed it when i went through my brass

I would start by checking the barrel for a bulge, perhaps not likely. I would clean the barrel down to the steel. Sharpshooters wipe-out, patch-out or similar nondestructive copper remover. See if you can get your hands on a borescope to see that its clean. Are your rounds sealing in the chamber when fired? Look for gas blowby on the case. Do you shoot lead, because I leaded my barrels before and it effected accuracy until I removed the lead. I'm just throwing darts here, hope you can resolve it.
