It warms my heart to know that Winston had a 1911. Moderators, I didn't know exactly where to post this.

I knew he was a force to be reckoned with on the political side of things.
Your video showed me he was a better man than I had previously thought.

Anyone who has a M1 carbine and a 1911 JMB pistol can not possibly be all bad.

Somehow we should be using his collection of sub machine guns to fight the Demoncrats push to outlaw assault rifles.

One of Churchill's bodyguards was given the 1911 but complained about its size and weight so Winston swapped him his .38 revolver for it. When Churchill was still in uniform he carried a broomhandle mauser as a sidearm rather than a revolver and that was pre1900. British officers had to purchase there own sidearms I guess he figured if I'm going to pay for it 10 quick rounds is better than 6 slow ones.

There is a photo of Churchill with the Colt 1911 imprint outlined in his suit coat jacket. He didn't just carry the Broomhandle but fought with it.

I watched this a few night ago.

I was also happy to see him carry the 1911 in WWI, like my Grandfather

The big question is if Churchill believed that the common Englishman should have a gun.
