Between deer seasons I acquired a new to me 1886 Browning high grade rifle that had not been blooded. I have been using the rifle to shoot cowboy long range gong matches. This season the Browning has been going with me to the deer stand. Yesterday evening a nice fat spike presented a shot at about 60 yards. The Browning loaded with a Lyman/Gould HP over 30 grains of AA5744 did it's job and a short time later the spike was hanging from the gambrel. This boolit again preformed very well doing lots of damage. The holes on the inside of the ribcage were 1.5" on the entrance side and 2" on the exit side. Only bones hit were ribs going in and out. Still had fragmentation as I found several chunks under the hide on the exit side. Would not want to use this boolit on big animals like elk, but it sure hammers white tails. Spike made a wobbly 20 yards before falling.

I use that same boolit. Always been impressed how well the 100+ year old technology works. Unfortunately I'm not shooting it out of an 1886 browning. Handi rifle for me.
