A coal operator from 1920 by the name of W.P. Tams known locally as Major Tams built coal camp houses for which miners to live who were employed by his company. He also built 4 Churches in the Winding Gulf region of southern West Virginia. This was the time of segregation so there were 2 White Churches & 2 Black Churches. I've preached at different times in both the Black Churches. One is New Salem Baptist & the other Wyco Baptist. The Wyco Church is over a 100 years old. My friend Gary Hosey came by one evening during revival services & sang this song. There is no sound system or padded pews or A/C in this place. Just a plain coal camp Church. Hope you enjoy the song.

Spent quite a bit of time working and living in that end of the world....several years in Pineville, and a pretty good stint in Keystone. Good people. I miss it.
