I have a herters 22475 mold that the bullet looks it came out of a pencil sharpener. I would like to have it altered so it looks something like a .22 rimfire target bullet. who do we have I can contact to ream it out? I have a 92 in 218 bee and don't like the pointed bullet in a tubular magazine. the old mk111s and ezxs were some of the most accurate bullets I have ever shot, rimfire or centerfire. that has to be a good design, unless lengthening it would change the propertys of the design. daryl

As I recall that mould is similiar to lyman 225450 - It is a faily long bullet and altering it may increase the weight beyond useful limits in the B & hornet -- Perhaps a used 22596, 225438 or 225462 would be less costly -- my ha-penny

Either trade it, we have a nice trading area here, or send it to Buckshot and have him hollow point it and make you a flat nose pin as well as a HP. I would be real leery of trying to "ream it out". That nose is pretty long now, it might make it unusable.

That link should get you to Buckshots page and you can contact him by PM from there. BTW-He's the guy riding in the pic, not the beast of burden. Many folks confuse them.

Yep, I think the burro is the more handsome of the two. That's the one on the top - right?

Before you stick any extra money in your mould, just try a different nose punch or better yet try sizing nose first. if your alloy is right, instant flat-nose is what you'll get. They shoot fine in my 22 Hornets, 218 Bee's, 222 Remington's etc.....Geo
