Search function

Is the search function here on the site "kaput",...does it work at all anymore?:-(

If I want to find something like say ".30/30 cast HP cast bullets"

I use another search engine and type, " .30/30 cast HP cast boolits" to find posts on this forum.

Not sure if there is a better way but the search here is useless, or I cannot figure it out.

It hasn't been working for a while now. I use my browser and type in the same as dverna and results take me to this forum 80% of the time.

It wasn't long ago, the search feature on this forum would inundate you with posts.

The way I do it with windows 10 is type into your search engine site: followed by the sites web address ending in .com followed by / leave a space and then type in the search words. Example would be
site:https://castboolits.gunloads.com/ search function.

technically, there is four different Search functions.
-The open window
-Advanced Search
-Forum search
-thread Search

The open window has become troublesome, because it now only accepts one word.

Advanced search works great, but it's complicated and takes a while to figure out what all the settings mean.

Forum search and thread search appear when you are accessing a certain forum and/or thread, but like the open window, it will only accept one word. Now this does work better, because the software is searching a smaller area, so you will have fewer results to scan through.
