I came across this video and found it interesting and thought other members would too.
In the video they talk about making military ammunition lighter, not only for the soldiers, but for making rounds lighter for transporting to the battlefield.

Being an English man myself it was interesting. But soon they will be buying there ammo from us as keeping ammo manufacturing there in England damages the Environment. At least that is what my relatives say.

What’s interesting is how much ammunition Turkey supplies the world.

Turkey also makes most of the affordable, translate as cheap and usually pretty rough, shotguns on the market. Not things of beauty, but functional tools. I have several of them.

Strategically outsourcing your entire military ammo manufacture to Turkey is most unwise. Right now Turkey is friendly to the UK and is part of NATO. That can change.
A change to a more fundamentalist government is possible. Regional alliances in the regions may also be changing. Right Iran and Russia do a lot of trading together. Maybe Turkey decides to get into that group also. Or even a severe earthquake destroys the plant.

It’s always good to have several sources that supply you with what you need.

I've got one and a Zenith pistol bought on sale for $200. Both work fine and the Zenith 9mm is exceeded in accuracy only by my Target Masterpiece.

Very unwise to put all your eggs into one basket especially when that country is a radical Muslim nation and make no mistake, Erdogan is a radical.
