Today is my birthday

My wife and I were having breakfast in a small cafe close to our home. We were eating on the patio. I told the waitress it was my birthday and she said I could have a slice of pie of my choice to take home. I chose custard and she brought me two slices, one for each of us. When it came time to pay our bill the waitress said another customer, a lady heard me say it was my birthday and bought our breakfast. That happens to us fairly often. Our daughter came over later and brought me a gift card to Jersey Mike's. and took us out to lunch. I had a great day. By the way I am now 88.

Not real happy about turning 70. My plan was to live hard, die young and leave a good looking corpse. Well that plan is obviously in ruins.

I do NOT want to live to 93 like my dad did. So I guess I'm going to start having to live dangerously. Scary!
However it turns out I have no complaints. I have packed a lot of living, loving into this 70 years. Thank you Lord.
