Budget Remington 700 single shot build
I bought an old Aluminum Chassis from East Ridge for cheap a while back.
Found a Remington 700 HB 308 action, someone else stalled project, large knob, extended Picatinny rail and Timney trigger already installed. Now all I have to figure out is the scope, I have a couple of older target weavers and a Redfield. I'm pleased to keep the total at around $600 w/ the scope. I have to source some screws, I can't find the ones I have. I think I can get some screws at Ace Hardware.

If you want to keep the magazine for multiple shots, maybe consider getting one of the bench rest type followers. Skor-High made one years back. Frank

The stock design actually makes it a Single shot. No provision for follower and spring unless you machine the metal off.
