First off Thank you LORD ,
The moulds got here a lot quicker than I thought they would.
I cast a small batch the weights ranged from a low of 262.6gr to a high of 263.5gr
cast from WW alloy with the gas check on.The ascast diameter is at .412" with a slight out of roundness .001-.0015"with the 1 mould I used.

OK now for the bad news,NO way I can get these out quickly this week,I expected these in late Jan or early FEB.I will post as I ship out boxes.

Thanks Sean

Sean,

Thanks for all the extra effort on this one. Please be sure shipping costs don't make this into a losing proposition for you. I will gladly kick in for any extra shipping costs. The Honcho on these deals should not lose money for his trouble.

Same here Sean, if Shipping costs are not covered, just post the total amount of costs on here and total number of molds shipped...we can divide the numbers and send you what each of us owes.

Thanks again!

There should be NO problem with shipping since we got the moulds $4.00 cheaper because of quantity (16).

This is great news, and you did a great job on this buy. I am glad I was able to get in on it. Like the others said, don't be shy asking if you come up short we can kick a couple extra bucks out if needed.

I saw this buy too late to order one of these molds, but I see that some of the guys bought 2 molds. If anyone wants to sell one of these, I would definately be interested in buying.

thanks

Hi guys,

Question for you, Have any of you cast this boolit up yet? I cast about 500 or so of them tonight, and I am not sure if it is the weird alloy I have, or the mold, but mine are coming out 255g from the mold, and the gas check shank is .3965 average for the ones I have checked.

So what about it guys, what are you seeing.

256 gr. and 0.397" with a 0.412" to 0.413" diameter as cast.

Mine weigh 262 grains with gas check. 255 without.

RugerFan, what is your shank size? Lyman 410 or Hdy 416? If both on hand, which one works best? ... felix

416 fits rather tight. I'd have to cast up some more to see how the .410 fits.

Mine are casting right at 255 grains. A hornady .416 GC takes a little persuasion but will seat squarely if my fumble fingers get it started square. I just tried a few cartridges to get a feel for overall length. They were right at the end of the chamber seated in the crimp groove but everything was a go for me. Great design, guys!! Thanks for a terrific boolit. I am anxious to get out and shoot some of these out of my Rugers. I haven't checked to see if they are too long for my M57 or not. No way they will work in the Taurus tracker.

Thanks again,

Doc

IMPORTANT: Those of you who got in on the latest 265 grainer 41 group guy need to have the Lyman 41 check according to Lloyd Smale. If you need to switch out the gas check order you sent to me, NOW is the time to do it! NO CHANGES AFTER TOMORROW! ... felix
