I have a chance to pick up about 10 lbs of stick on wheel weights for 25cents/lb. This could be ongoing. Is there anything about these that make them unusable?

I've been calling around, and lots of the chain stores have the same stories -- "those are made of lead and we have to keep environmental reports and turn them in..." or "the battery guy picks them up because they are dangerous..."

The 'big store' guys are all brainwashed :0(

They are great for Front stuffers, paper patchers, and sweetening up a stiff alloy.
Those guys are not brainwashed, they are Liberals. They do it to themselves.

The stick on weights are suppose to be softer than the clip on weights and for me are harder to get. When I come upon the stick on weights I keep them separated from the clip on weights. I use them for my ML.

Most stick-ons are pure (or close to it) lead. Be sure to look at them for a Z or Zn stamped in to them. (Zinc) If they are pure, they will scratch easily with your fingernail.
