Steve here...
I fumbled and failed misserably trying to get this old no vent line ideal 22 mold to fill out the tiny bands in the middle of the boolit. Felix came to the rescue!!!. He had me beagle the mold. Once I got the mold good and hot, I was able to make a pile of them. I plan on gas checking them and loading some light loads in my .222 40xbbr.

Nice looking boolit! What weight does she drop with your alloy? I would really like to pick one of these up sometime, or maybe get something similar (maybe flatter nose) made.

Hope she shoots well for you.

Nice looking boolit! Wonder how that would shoot in my 220 Swift? Darn it, another wish list item....

Nice pic. Must be venting was the problem and the tape fixed it. Good on you!

Does anyone have any info on this mold? I see it listed in the Lyman cast handbook as a 41gr boolit. What years was this mold made? EDITED :I think I bought this mold off ebay from z4lunch but have not casted with it yet. Beautiful !!!
