for $50 a good deal? Also, will it use the same size dies and top punches as the newer sizers? I read the sticky about the 45 sizer up above, and it has some info about an o-ring piston retrofit for the lube chamber. Is that right?

Yeah the 45 is a good deal for that price if complete. Lyman and RCBS dies work just fine as do the nose punches. You can upgrade the pressure piston easily, but I elected not to and simply wrapped the existing piston with a ziplock bag and punched a hole for the pressure screw to go through. Problem solved and many thousand boolits later, still goin. Cost to repair / modify, 10 cents maybe.

....It is in todays market. I don't think I would have paid that for one a couple of years ago. They were going for $25. then.

+1 SharpsShooters comments. @ $50 I would say its a good deal if it is all there.

Ok, I pm'd the seller for some pics, which I'll probably cross-post here to see if those with experience think it's complete. Thanks for the info guys.

Seller sent me 3 pics. I think I'm going to bite:

He said that he took it all apart, cleaned it, and painted it.

I was gonna say that is one clean Lyman 45!

$50 a fair price and maybe better than that considering the effort in the restorastion.

If I was in the market for a 45 I'd consider this one, pending my inspection when it was recieved.

Just being leery of the to good to be true syndrome!

That looks very good. It appears to be complete. It's worth 50 easy.
