The 2 books I have don’t have the 130 grain cast bullet. Can anyone suggest a powder and data for this or share a picture of published data. I tried the Ed Harris 13 grains of red dot with no luck. Please and thank you 303817

What was the problem with the 13 grains of Red Dot load? Maybe back off to about 10 grains and slowly work back up for accuracy.
Good Luck,
Rick

Neither of my 308's liked that 130 gr boolit for a reason mysterious to me. I tried it with several powders including RD. My 30/30 loves those 130's at mild velocities but coyotes sure don't. Every rifle barrel has a personality to be discovered. You should try with Unique and Green Dot as well.

For what purpose?

I have always suspected that the reduced COAL, due to the distance of a short boolit from the throat, could compromise the performance of a .308 rifle, even if it is intrinsically accurate.
if I'm wrong, I'll be happy to learn differently here.

TRY 8/9/10 grs Unique AND WORK UP TO WHAT FPS YOU WANT?? WHEN I TESTED EVERY FLAVIOR OF LR MAG PRIMERS ON THE MARKET THAT I COULD GET, FEDERAL AND CCI GAVE ME 100 FPS MORE JUST BY CHANGING PRIMERS, NOTHING ELSE, ALL THE OTHERS STAYED JUST A FEW FPS DIFFERENT. JUST AN ADDED THOUGHT..
