Today I received an e-mail supposedly from CMP about providing a birthday and address to continuing receiving their e-mails, due to a new CA law. It seems to be real. Are others getting it as well? Scammers can be pretty tricky? Thanks, Tom

If you are in Nebraska why would you care about a new California law? I agree, contact CMP and ask them directly.

I was sent TWO eMails -- the 1st advising the birthday + address need; the 2nd that the first was an "oops".

I received the same 2 emails here in Illinois, seems like a scam to me.

ACC; The CMP stands for The "Civilian Markmanship Program." They offer surplus military type firearms to qualified people.

Not a scam. Look under military rifle section. Civilian marksmanship program did send out in order to provide Your Info to California... do NOT complete. And those of you that have bought from them need to call and complain LOUDLY
