My Lee .356 -120 TC drops at .3560 with WW mixed with range scrap. I powder coat the bullets and size to .358 to get them large enough for my bore.

I can't use it if they only drop at .356 ..... I need at least .357

Primers are the problem! Even cast scrap bullets require primers!

RMR makes great bullets, and at a fair price. Great people to deal with.

My 2 cav 356-120-TC drops at .358+ using my 3-2-95 alloy. Perfect function and very accurate in every 9MM I've tried.

I cast with 50-50 (COWW-Lead) with a double cavity Lee Mould
they drop out .3578"
Perfect for sizing to .357" for use in 9mm Luger or they can be run through a .358" sizing die to get lubed ...they just get rounded out , for use in 38 special / 38 special +P and 357 magnum .

Very versatile little design ... and , I hear , they feed well in lever action rifles !

One of the sorrows of LEE molds is that they are not as consistent as their higher cost competitors in as-cast size. We might both buy that mold and mine might be .358 right on the money, while yours with the same alloy could be either larger or smaller. You sort of pays your money and takes your chances.
However, that is an excellent boolit and mine runs just a smidge over .358 with my range lead and 1% Sn alloy.

IMHO, I've found Lee's TL pistol boolit designs are more troublesome then their traditional lube groove designs.

Specifically about the Lee 156-120-TC, I am a big fan if you get a mold that drops fat enough. I've owned 3 of them, only the third one I purchased cast fat enough for my guns.

i had one of those two cavities, i could never get it to give me boolits higher than 356, i did everything i could, it never worked

Did you try to beagle the mold or lapping the mold larger?
