Did a search for shooting bench plans or pictures and nothing came up, surely someone somewhere has a decent portable or semiportable well thought out shooting bench.
Thanks in advance for any help.
I have a 200yd range off my back porch.

I'm not sure why a search didn't turn up anything for you. I'm looking at bench options right now myself and several different ones show up for me. The one that Handloader109 posted also shows up under Sierra.

I'm probably going to build that one but I'm also looking at a concrete and steel one by Vaughn Concrete. Expensive but nice!

I've used #1 for several years. Luckily, I had access to a welder that made the leg brackets for me. Very stable. It works for both rifle and pistol bench shooting. Some might consider it inconvenient to assemble and disassemble the 2" pipe legs but it is unweildy to move around with the legs assembled.

Not having a fixed place to shoot, I have to have a portable.

A few decades ago,, Rick Jamison posted in Shooting Times magazine a set of plans that were excellent. I may be able to find the plans in some of my stuff. But basically, you took a sheet or 3/4" plywood, cut (2) pieces identically and put them together to get a nice 1-1/2" thick top. Cut in the classic bench "T" shape.
Then, some 1-1/2" or 2" galvanized pipe, (3) identical pieces, threaded on one end. (2) threaded in-line couplings, cutting them in half on an angle. Weld the couplings pieces to (3) flat plates,, (you'll have a half piece of coupling left over,) Drill (4) holes in the flat plate to be able to bolt it to the bench top. One plate,, goes in the center rear of the bench, while the other 2 are mounted on the front corners of the bench top. Screw in the pipes for legs,, and you have a solid bench, yet you can easily remove the legs for transport or storage.

I made mine in about 2-3 hours if I recall correctly. I still have it,, and it's been a good bench.

Once the plates are bolted to the top,, you can add some paint & sealer to the wood.

My bench is over 30 years old,, actually closer to 40 years. I now have a permanent bench, so it doesn't see much use anymore,, but it used to be THE bench for me.

Look up old Shooting Times articles from the 1980's.

contender1 describes my bench almost exactly. I've only had mine between 15 and 20 years. I've repainted it once. It gets scarred up from throwing it in the bed of the truck.

I built the first one listed, Portable Bench. It's solid and stable. Not sure if the plan (Larry Willis) is the same exact that I built, but I ordered the pre-made leg kit and the rest was easy.

My son made one of these for me, amazingly stable and very portable - https://www.thereloadersnetwork.com/2020/05/04/how-to-make-a-shooting-table-from-one-4-x-8-sheet-of-plywood/

Portable is one thing but...if you are doing BR work, you'll appreciate DIY bench and pad to sit it on.

I made my 50 yard bench from 4x4's with mortise & tenon glued and doweled but the steel is better...
