When I'm having a "down day" I shoot a few groups with one of my BSA Martini target rifles. This group at 50yds with a 1947 vintage Model 12/15 on a 10m air pistol target! At 75 years old it remains a true classic and accurate target rifle.

For a left hander the International Mk2 is a favourite

I have to agree with you, BAW. I love my martinis and they always perform admirably whenever I take them out for a session. It's amazing how precisely they can shoot with the aperture sights. I've had more than a few over the years, and currently, the accumulation includes:

M7 "Superb"
12/15
Custom heavy barreled M12
International Mark V LH
HWZ21 - a German version of the small frame martini
Old school custom Cadet in 218 Bee
Converted (to 22LR) large frame sporting rifle that I need to clean up (a diamond in the rough - see photo below)

I am "Loving" my Martini's.
Started out with a 12/15 that has won matches for me. First with original Iron sights,
lately, at 81 I shoot it with a Lyman STS 15X
Next , a "Cadet" - Klein's , Chicago, in '50s rebored to 357 Mag
BSA Int'l MKII , LH,|HB , wears a Unertl 2"-20X
BSA Int'l MKII, RH/light barrel (with LH stock) wears a Lyman STS 25X
All are very accurate

The Martini cadet has a very fast lock time, very short firing pin throw. If you are shooting against a BP gun with a long hammer drop it is almost no contest off hand.
Nice BAW.

Like those old Martinis. Had an International Mark III, sold it and quickly ran across a Mark V. Keeping the Mark V but I think the Mark III was a better rifle.

Even my Hammerli 106 'free pistol' is a highly developed mini-martini action.

I had a Left-hand mk.3 international. Exchanged it for an Anschutz 1813, I still don't know if I made the right decision!
