Yes, Bob Hoover!

Watch what this aviation trail blazer did with a twin engine business aircraft:

Watched him do that at Oshkosh in the early 90's. Very impressive.

Thanks for posting. Watched some of the links. Impressing man.
I had the pleasure of meeting and talking to John Miller just after he celebrated his 100th birthday celebrating he was the oldest living pilot. I was in a restaurant in Poughkeepsie NY and heard him talking about flying. I knew someone who had been at the party a week earlier and asked him if he was Johnny Miller. What a conversation we had . Sharp as a tack and still flying at 100. He passed away a couple of years later. afish4570

I saw Mr. Hoover perform that feat at Abbotsford,BC in 1971 as a young teenager and have admired him ever since.

He performed with a P51 Mustang then immediately flew the Shrike Commander through its paces.

What a guy, what a performance, what equipment!

I have been watching a lot of those stories on You tube. Bob hover is great! Also watch Brian Shul, survived being shot down in F105 to later become SR71 pilot. I can't remember his name but, one of the series shows that was on the Military channel had a story on bomber pilots that shot down fighters. This story had 3 guys that managed to survive, the one guy that was unbelievable shot down 3 zeros from a Dauntless dive-bomber. Look up Col Jim Howard, one man Air Force.
