View Full Version : Keith 38 Spl loads - Chronographed

I had chronographed Keith’s 5.0 grs Unique 38 Spl load under Rim Rock Keith 170 gr bullet (great bullet) and got an avg 964 fps (10 shot string) from my Ruger 4 5/8 inch BH. This can be duplicated using 6.3 grs Accurate #5 with same 170 gr bullet which got 963 fps.

I love range testing! Do you record weather conditions when testing? Things such as temperature, humidity, ect.?

Thanks, Hi-Speed for reconsidering posting your findings. I have used that same Unique load in a snub, I will have to dig up those numbers and compare to your longer barrel. If my memory serves, I think I was getting just over 900. Thanks again.

I should…it is approx 4,700 ft above sea level here, yes closer to heaven! Temp in morning…typically about 60-65, Humidity LOW here in the high desert. Thanks again
