where can i purchase some cracker shells? I would like to get 10-20 of them. I found one place that had them for $3 each but their shipping and Hazmat fees were over $90. Hazmat fee was $70, which I thought was excessive. I am having a problem with critters getting into my crops.
thanks BD

unless you have an explosive permit, you cant. you can get what they call "bird bangers" but you need the special launcher, they wont work with a shotgun like the old cracker shells did. you can make your own and there is a thread on here explaining how to do it but unless you can get pyrotechnic powder they just dont have the same ummphh that the store bought crackers had.

They used to be available from Game & Fish up here but I don't know if they still have those programs. A call to your G&F might find a program that would provide them for free. GW

looks like they changed the law as of 2019 and you can get them again as long as you sign a statement and give all your personal info to them. might be worth it to have them again.

You will also need an explosives magazine logbook for when used and for the checks that the magazine requires. My son is a wildlife control operate [states designation] and figures not worth the hassle. Uses the small ones that do not require that bull. So does the States own CO's.
