If anyone has a copy of the RCBS Cast Bullet Manual #1 and can I get a screenshot of the light cast bullet sections/page for the 30-30 and 30-06 sections if they exist?

I recently got my hands on my first RCBS mould, a 30-115-SP. Though intended for the .30 carbine, I want to load up some mouse fart loads and see how the load data stacks up against the Lyman data.

I have the RCBS Cast bullet manual on my buy list when i find one.

The bullets will work great in your 30 carbine; I have shot thousands in a Thompson Contender 30/20 ( the 32/20 TC is .308). I tried that bullet in a 30-30 and 308 with no success.

Thanks!! Exactly what i needed for the moment.

Haven't had much success with the small 30 Carbine Lyman bullets so far in either rifle as well, but the mould (NIB) just kind of fell into my lap, so what the heck its only a handful of primers and powder and a fun day on the range.

Unique was the best powder for me.

Have not used that specific bullet but the NOE 311-115 is similar and have had good accuracy in a 1903A3 and a Ruger#3 in 30/40 using 5 grains of Bullseye. Not a long range load, great at 25 yards and okay at 50 yards, beyond that really starts to go south accuracy wise. These are cast with a softer alloy and gaschecked, figure the additional cost of the GC is worth it to avoid leading. This load is sub-sonic and the GC may be overkill, but IME leding is esier to avoid than it is to remove.

I gave up on the ligh bullets and went to the 130 Lyman with 4227 in the cabine and 30-20 For the 30-30, I used the 150 RCBS FP and 165 RCBS Silhouette with Unique in the 30-30. The 150 does OK to 100, the 165 goes over the trajectory curve much better for 150 and 200 accuracy At 200, I usually switch to the 180 RCBS Silhouette, good accuracy but more positive on rams.

Got out to the range and this bullet surprised me in both rifles given the low expectations based on the Lyman bullets (311359, 308241 and 311410). All shots were done off the bench with a simple Caldwell front rest and small V bag. I can definitely work with that bullet in either rifle.

I only loaded 10 rnds for the 30-30 and I had filled out the box with some test load of 311041's over 4227 which was shot first to 100yds with ho-hum results
The -06 got 10 as well and I filled out the box with some test loads of 311672's over RX-7 at 100 yds with ho-hum results as well.
