I spent a number of hours online and at the library yesterday trying to find load data for 20ga in the 3/4 and 7/8 payload department.
The only shotgun powder I have been able to find anywhere was WSF, which, from what I understand works for 20ga but is dirty. Anyway, it's what I could find. No Green Dot or Unique anywhere in the state is the rumor.

In any case, the data listed the pressure in LUP, and so I have no idea where they are in the standard PSI range. It's important in this case, because I'm trying to work up a new recipe from scratch. I intend to send them off for testing, but I really need an intelligent place to start.

For the loads I found, in 7/8 with plastic wads, the listed speed was 1200fps at 17gr WSF and for 3/4, it was 1220 at 18gr.

Does anyone have pressure data for loads along these lines? I'm going to contact the pressure testing service and see what they think as well. If the load is unsafe in pressure, fine. But not if it will damage their testing instruments.

This reloading supplies shortage is a serious PITA. Who would have thought that a pound of Green Dot would be a goose chase like this?

Have you gone to the Hodgdon reloading site? They show data for what you are asking?

What does it matter? LUP was, and still is a perfectly viable measurement for shotguns. If it's under the old standard of 10,500 LUP, it will almost certainly be under the new Piezo standard of 12,000 PSI. If it wasn't, Hodgdon wouldn't publish it.

I’ve used WSF ever since Winchester brought it out about thirty years ago to replace 473AA . I’ve used it in both the 20 gauge for 7:8 ounce and the 16 gauge for an ounce . I never noticed it being dirtier than any other WIN powder . I used to be WIN powders only 35 years ago for shotguns . Now it’s what I can get that’ll work .

Who cares about dirty? It shoots clean your gun after unless you are a lazy jerk. {being nice here}
