RCBS 120g boolit cast from Lyman #2 alloy, sized .2584 in Lee style push through the bottom die, gas checked and then tumble lubed.
12g of 2400 and CCI 200 primers.
I was pleasantly surprised to achieve a 5 shotgroup at 100 yds of just a scosh (1.002") over 1". The rifle is a Remington 700 Mountain rifle with a 22" stainless steel bbl. Scope is a Leupold 4x 12.
I don't know the velocity, but Lyman's #4 Cast Bullet handbook shows around 1500-1600 fps.

My Remington 700 wears a Hart barrel and groups the Noe 258 120gr. FN very well using anywhere between 13 and 17gr of IMR 4227. Gp

Thank you both. I've wanted to give a .25-06 a whirl with cast.

Long ago I had a Lyman 90 gr fn mould and the bullets shot well over 9grs of Red Dot in my 25-06.
Duh for letting that mould go......

I'm using a P14 303/25 with a 100gn RCBS (PC'D & GC'd) with 29gn of 3031 for just over 2,500fps and excellent accuracy.

On Friday 8/12, I shot a .595" 5 shot group at 100 yds using the RCBS 25-120 and this time powder coated with Smokes John Deere Green and the same 12g of 2400, BUT this time with CCI 250 mag
primers.
I hasten to add that I only had 5 rounds loaded with the CCI 250's
So I am gonna load up some more this week and see if that was just a fluke or can less than MOA be the norm with this boolit powder coated with a CCI 250 primer.
