I have made 7 dummy rounds, ran them thru my two pistols and the fed great. took the barrels out and the rounds sit in the end of the barrel and look like they are supposed too.
If they feed in my two 1911s, sit in the barrels like they should, and are shorter than the book says oal should be, book says 1.275 oal, my loads will be slightly shorter will let ya'll know how it goes. am using 5.3 grains of bullseye powder

They should be fine.
There are several molds that the OAL comes up short on and they work fine.

That length (1.275") is the MAXIMUM length for .45 ACP, with a 230 gr. FMJRN. Other projectiles will have different lengths, and so give different cartridge overall length when seated to the same depth as the 230 gr. FMJRN. As long as powder charges are in the moderate range, seating a projectile SLIGHTLY deeper will result in a SLIGHT increase in chamber pressure, but usually does not result in excessive pressures. As auto pistol rounds go, the .45 case is on the large side, and operates at a fairly low chamber pressure. As long as one is prudent about making slight changes to overall length, there is usually no problem.

As an example, a 200 grain SWC won’t even fit into the magazine at 1.275”. Like Kosh said, OAL is dependent on boolit shape. The inside of the magazine matches the shape of the FMJ bullet. As is frequently said, start 10% low and work your way up.

Alliant lists the MAXIMUM load for a 200 grain LSWC at 4.6 grains of Bullseye. You’re about 15% over the recommended maximum. Granted, that’s a LSWC and you’re using a LRN but the pressure won’t be terribly different.

I ran a 5.3 gr load of Bullseye and a Lee 452-200-RF through QuickLoad. COAL set at 1.275". Projected pressure was 11,001 psi (46% of capacity). SAAMI pressure is 21,000 psi. Reduced COAL to 1.15" and pressure is 15,899 psi (64% of capacity). At 1.10", pressure is 19,481 psi (75% of capacity).

I ran a 5.3 gr load of Bullseye and a Lee 452-200-SWC through QuickLoad. COAL set at 1.275". Projected pressure was 15,246 psi (61% of capacity) . SAAMI pressure is 21,000 psi. Reduced COAL to 1.200" and pressure is 20,711 psi (78% of capacity).

I was looking at the hornady reloading manual and it shows a 5.3 grains of bullseye as a starting load for a 200 grain round nose bullet. I will fire a couple and if they are too hot will cut back.
I am beginning to think should cut to 4.9 to 5.1 . but if I use your 200 grain then my 200 grain round nose using the same load should be ok

I still think tomorrow will load two more boxes with a slightly lower charge to see what happens

pirate 69, do you think that 5.3 grains is too much, I can pull the bullets and start over , other data I see is 4.2 and 4.3 starting out, I do not want to hurt the guns, or myself.

the two guns I have, 1 is commander size, and the other is full size with 5 inch barrel

just is a pain pulling bullets with a so called kinetic bullet puller have to pound all the time , re do the whole sizing and everything else but am retired and all i have is time I guess, and besides look like it is going to rain all week, so can do it

I think it will depend on the length of your boolit. If your boolit is longer then the Lee RF boolit referenced then the pressure will be higher. Would be good to know the length of your boolit.
