I have a Lee 403-310 mould that I want to make into a round nose.
I want to keep the same bullet length.
It looks like I would have to build up some of the nose.
What would be the best way to do this???????

The easiest would be JB weld.
I was wondering if it would stand up to the heat, and if it would stay in place.

I don't have a TIG welder, but I do have a bunch of Alumaloy(?) rods. Rod work OK, but I've never tried to do something like this with it.

Another option would be to try and splice two moulds together. The regular body and a round nose top half.

Custom mould is out of the question. Unless we could get enough people to have a group buy.

Any thoughts or suggestions????

JB weld won't work, and I doubt you could do it with the alumalloy rod. The 2 piece is your best shot for DIY. If you can swing a GB you can probably swing a Mountain Mold. www.mountainmolds.com
