Bring a sandwich and something to drink, it looks like you'll be there awhile.

if thats tubing in the pile, check it, it might be tin. the joints on the pipe are also rich in tin.

My best advice, wait until September or October and the temperature gets under 70 degrees. :bigsmyl2:

That will be a good days work! I'll 2nd the request to see pictures of your set-up in action.
Me and a buddy have done 2000# in a day a few times and it was a long day. Followed by a 3 Aleve night!

Supposed to be 100+ degrees in Tulsa Friday so I assume OKC will be about the same. So stay hydrated and don't get any sweat on the lead and allow it to get submerged to invite the tensil fairy.

Pics will follow. I smelt from about 7 am till the sun breaks over the house next door. Maybe get two batches done 5-600 lbs.
I melt the pipes and cable together and the sheet lead separate.

I guess I'll drop a few tips ... looks like I'm a little late as I see you have started already...maybe some newb will brouse this thread and consider ingot shapes & sizes?

Use an ingot mould that will stack well & will stay put...

Use an ingot mould that is easy to mark & identify...

Use an ingot mould that takes up little space...

You can see the muffin ingots I used for a decade before I found Joe Leadslingers moulds...I'll be glad when all the muffins are used up, reclaimed and in the new mould form.

Use an ingot mold that will fill your furnace in one load so you don't have to feed it several times with small ingots.

Somehow I don't feel comfortable recommending that someone eat while casting lead.
I envy you your stash.
