I have a lee breech lock reloader single stage press
A friend of mine wants to reload 50cal with it.
Will it work for that?

Which 50 cal?
It's way too small for 50 BMG if that's what he means. You have to get a special press and priming tool for that.

Is this the press you have? Then yes it will accept the 50 bmg dies.

it may accept the dies but it wont work, brass is way to long with 50bmg. you need a lot of clearance

Nor will it accept the shell holder.

I guess he will have to get what he needs.

RCBS Big Fifty kit is probably the best way to go. Everything you need in one box.

you think regular primers are expensive, wait till you see what 50bmg primers go for.

When I started loading them in the mid 90s, you had to buy them five boxes at a time. Each box had five flats of 100.
For five boxes, or 2500 of them, it was $382. plus the shipping.
Last time I saw them listed, it was the same $382.00, but it was for only one box of 500.

Lee makes two O-frame breech lock presses. The Classic Cast is giant, and it will load 50 BMG no problem, it was built for it. The Challenger is much smaller, and I doubt it has the length needed.
