Id like to mount an MVA sight to an original straight grip rifle. They have the bases but where can I get a longer main tang screw and the front screw for the sightbase (where the filler screw is from the factory). Gun was made in 1895....are these holes some odd period thread spec?

Most decent quality tang sights come with the longer rear screw, and correct front screw. If they don't they're usually cheap sights. But if you buy a sight missing these you can order the correct screws from MVA, or other companies selling sights for the 1885 Win.

If you order an MVA sight it will come with the correct screws.

My sight had the needed screws with it.

Mine did too. MVA knows what you need.

One thing to note. MVA sells 2 screw lengths for highwalls.
