Re threaded to fit a K Frame S&W Revolver it is 8" in length. They were installed on Pythons with a 38 Special cylinder intended for competition with wadcutters but will handle all standard velocity 38 Special cartridges. I have had it for over 20 years intending to install it on a Model 15 S&W like the 2 revolvers shown. One is a 5 screw Model 10 of 1951 vintage and the other is a Model 586 of 1990 manufacture. The thread for the 586 is larger to fit the the L Frame. Putting these on S&W revolvers was very popular in the 70's and 80's. To say they are accurate is an understatement and the easy to work on lockwork of the S&W revolvers makes it a very nice combination. The barrel includes the Colt ramped and serrated front sight deeply blued with both pins to install it. The pins can be seen partially installed. When available the sight was $65 alone. The barrels on the 2 revolvers shown were shortened to 6" from 8". The barrel for sale is 8".
