I just got my primers from https://zincpoint.com. I received them from UPS at 11:00 last night. They look like S&B primers to me. I am going to load up some 9mm and see how they work. I will keep the list updated. I took a couple of pictures of them so everyone could see what they look like.

Odd....same box colors as Remington. I thought they were Brazilian, but the box plainly says Argentina.

I buy some remington 1 1/2 and 5 1/2 primers, they usually come in a orange and green box...but hell, I'll load from any color box as long as they make the bullets go boom (but not too much boom). Just the right amount of boom.

Tucuman, Argentina.

Good morning, the company was called ORBEA and it has been making ammunition and reloading components for more than 60 years.
A few years ago they began to produce small pistol primers and at first they had ignition problems, they have failed me 17/100 shots
Currently they have solved their problems, but the manufacturers say that they have to be strongly seated.

I was watching that Zinc place thread with interest. Anyone want to split 1,000,000 primers?

I'm with ranchr1913....would be interested in small rifle primers as well or magnum small rifle primers.

OK, loaded up 200 9MM and took them out to the range. I took 50 primers from 4 different packs to see if I could get any hang fires or failures. I used my standard target load of 4.0 grains of W231 behind a 124 grain Lee TC cast bullet. All cartridges were fired in my Taurus G2c.

The were no failures to fire and no hang fires. All 200 rounds went off when the firing pin hit them. The only thing I can say is that they had a funky smell to them but that could have just been me since I ate a salami sandwich for lunch.

I bought 2,000 of the same Servicios y Aventuras primers, from a different supplier, and tried them in several different pistols. My model 19 had been giving me light hammer strikes, but after a thorough cleaning, I used it to test the new primers. They worked fine, no issues, no misfires. Also used them in my new-to-me PA 63 380 acp. Function was perfect. I rather like these primers. I'm also glad to see the Argentines coming back with their long history of arms and ammunition manufacturing.

224.00 for 2,000 primers. Where is this good deal at? They advertise 180.00 but as soon as you add the mandatory hazmat it jumps to 224.00. I did not even put it in my cart to see if it was one of these scam site that only accepts Venmo or Zelle

Got to the outdoor range this morning. Put a few rounds with S&A primers across the chrono. Average for a 10-shot string (PC'd 124 gr. TCs/5.9 AA #5) was 1092 fps out of my SIG 365; last batch with Fed SPs - same load/same gun - was 1096 fps...close enough for government work. SD for both runs was in low 20s. No failure-to-fires.

For Rick1985, that $224 price includes both hazmat and shipping. If you check the current online prices, you'll find that 2K from Brownell's or Powder Valley would be about $20 more (with hazmat, shipping, and sales tax) by the time they got to your door...that is, of course, if they actually have some in stock.

You should try to order High Power Rocket Motors. The hazmat on them is 50% of the cost of the motors. So the hazmat on primers is pretty low.

I started following ACC's thread on these primers out of curiosity. After a while I decided to order some to try them so I ordered 2K on June 30th.

When I got their email with my invoice I got really curious. I expected the price for 2000 primers to be $224 as stated on their website. Instead they gave me a discount of $74.00 making the price of the primers $150.00. This included hazmat.
They added $13.00 for shipping. My total cost was $163.00. I checked my credit card and it showed a charge of $163.00.

The BBT just delivered me 2000 small pistol primers that look pretty good. I'm going to load some ammo and see how they work.

My only complaint about the primers is they about 3X what my other SP primers cost.

I'm wondering if anyone else had a similar experience or if I just missed something on their website. I've been known to do that

Price is down to $156 for 2k, 79 for 1k....looks like they are not moving as fast as they want them to.
