A friend of mine called me and wanted to show me a sxs shotgun that he found while cleaning out his late fathers estate. The shotgun was in pieces, as the buttstock was broken and seems the action is not functioning. Missing trigger guard as well. The barrels are in nice shape with clean shiny bores and chambers. The barrels are marked Selected Forged Steel and Proof Tested 16ga 2 3/4 inch chambers. The fore end wood is in really nice condition with nice figure. The action locked up nice and tight but the triggers wouldn't set or fire? The safety works though. The action is marked on the left with Eastern Arms and numbers 101.7. The right is marked on the lower portion just above the triggers 5100. I did a little reading and seems this is a working mans gun most likely marketed by Sears? Not worth fixing by my estimation. Would the barrels and fore end have any value to anyone? Any members have an eastern arms 16 ga with worn barrels in need of newer ones? Barrels are 28" with decent bluing. I measured the bores and they measure, rt- .641 and the lft- .651. I will take a few photos if anyone is interested. If anyone has more info they'd like to share, I'd like to hear more. Thanks
