The last brass I took to the recycler two weeks ago netted me $2.55 a pound, including .22 cases. With what I took in, I walked out with $583.00 from the brass. I wouldn't sell them for less than the recycler is paying, but that's just me.

Hope this helps.

If you're buying them, that sounds pretty good compared to the scrap price for brass.

If you're selling them, I'd look around to see if you can do better.

Our gun club sells them for scrap price.

Nobody much wants 22lr brass, but there has been more of a demand lately.

About 1/3 a cent a case per scrap pricing of brass around this neck of the woods or about $2.40ish to the $2.50ish a pound.

I'm not sure this happens in all areas, but our scrappers have two different levels for Brass.
For shell Brass. It's Red Brass, because of the Zinc. Red Brass normally runs cheaper than regular pure Brass.

Cartridge brass is classified as Yellow Brass at my recycler in Eugene, OR. The same for rifle and pistol primers. Red Brass brings a higher price than yellow brass.

Hope this helps.

Maybe I have it backwards. It's been some time since I was there.
