I have had a standing alert with Ebay for 25 cal gas checks I failed to turn off. (years now)
Nothing has showed up in the alert for a few years. Now I see they are selling again. (ebay ban?) The word was Ebay did not allow the sale of anything that went down/out the barrel like bullets and gas checks, projectiles.

I don't need any now, I have a bunch, but $85 to 95 a 1000 is the asking price.
Is this the going rate these days for Hornady gas checks? Wow!?!?

A couple of questions here, both good. First, e-bay is run by liberals who hate guns but don't know much about them. Come to think of it, kind of like Democrats and Journalists. They have an anti-gun policy, but allow parts and magazines to be sold, and sometimes other items seem to slip through. They've got a billion for sale items and I think they're physically unable to closely examine each and every one, which also applies to anti-gun Pay Pal. Some transactions get through their net and some don't, dependent somewhat on the description of the item. As for the current price of gas checks, I looked at what Midway had to offer just two days ago and they had Lyman gas checks in stock at roughly $80 per 1,000, and were out of stock on Hornady which listed at about $65 per 1,000. You can get the exact prices by visiting Midway yourself and doing a search in the reloading section. So I would say that the offer you saw on e-bay has about a $20 mark up.

Midsouth has Hornady .25cal GC in stock.....34.98/1000 so I'd say those others are marked waaayyyy up.

Bayou Bullets and brass will have them in the mid to upper $20 range for copper . I bought 4000 for .348 a few weeks ago and they appear to be the equal of the Hornady checks for less money .

Hornady is half that, Gator checks, even less. The current problem is vendor stocks.

Prices are insane. I won’t buy anymore. You can get a maker for that price. If I have the time, I won’t spend that dime, lmao. I bought a couple makers on eBay, from dmatteson, and received them in under two weeks. I like that it’s a one step/one stroke design.

I see checks all the time on Sages. Prices are quite reasonable.

counted over 90 sold in past year - usually listed as barrel + trigger housing , barrel + extension , + other spurious nomenclature - even seen a few listed as receivers sold -

$.03 each, I don't know what anybody is complaining about in todays times at those prices.

Over a year ago, Hornady said they had a 2 year back log of orders.
I'm surprised they didn't put gas checks at the back of the line and first catch up on things that are way more profitable for them.
