I would like the high bidder on this auction to donate the entire 100% amount of their bid to this site (per the "donate" link above), then PM me their mailing address, and I will send them this scope. I will pay shipping.
Up for auction is a Bushnell Banner riflescope, model 71-3103, 4 x 40, "wide angle", multi-X reticle, with Bullet Drop Compensator -- or (ahem) without Bullet Drop Compensator, in this case, which is the problem.
I found instructions on line, which basically say you can insert different elevation knob inserts (for different trajectories), zero the scope as necessary, and then read out yardage through the little window on the elevation turret as you adjust for distant shots. What could go wrong? Correct! Somebody lost all the elevation knob inserts but one, and also lost the little widget that locks the insert into the turret.
Other than that, this scope seems pretty good. Optics look fine, adjustments feel right, a couple of ring marks, but finish otherwise okay, no problems except as noted above.
In order that you wouldn't lose that last elevation knob insert on your first shot, I bubba'd a hold-down device using a screw out of my parts jar. (The screw is M6x1, 6mm diameter, 1mm pitch, in case you'd like to replace it with a prettier one, maybe brass.) So, this scope is now serviceable! :)
Here are the pics, explaining everything:

I would like this auction to run through next weekend, so people don't miss it by being away for Memorial Day. Please bid until Monday, June 6, 2022, 8:00 p.m. EDT.
Do I hear $1? 8-)
