Hi, I need some help. I need to replace a part and have no idea what it is called. It's a metal bracket under the plastic trim that covers the wiring that runs on the inside of the truck, on top of rocker panel. Your boots hit this plastic every time you get in or out. This bracket I need to replace is a pile of rust. I'd send a pic but it's a pile of rust. Ironically, the truck metal around it is in good shape. Thanks for the help.

Threshold?

Maybe look for a body parts diagram online to see what its real name is, and if any are available. GMC/Chevrolet made a lot of trucks/SUVs on that platform, you might find a good one at a junkyard.

Rocker wiring gutter? Maybe LMC truck has something for it since it's classic now.

If you have a friendly parts guy/gal at a local GM dealership they can pull up the parts diagram and get you the part number. They can also check and see if one might be sitting on the shelf someplace and have it shipped in.
