has anyone else tried testing bullet effectiveness using leather couch material over pork pektrels over pork ribs over bags of oranges to simulate lung tissue followed by more pork ribs over another layer of pork pektrels , all backed up with the new and improved high tech fleece bullet stop.
the way Paul harrel demonstrates on his YouTube videos

Reads to me a like a good way to test for wound channels.

I not 100% sure. I probably spelled it wrong too.
just trying to type out what Paul harrel explains as his target/bullet testing stuff is put together.
I guess if you watch one of his videoed tests it shows what he is doing to test bullet expansion.

With today's meat prices. are you nuts? I'll use wet phone books - nobody uses them anymore...that is, if I can FIND any...

That's what the OP said: "high tech fleece"

you just have to watch oner of those Paul Harrel videos. The multi layers of fleece that he uses behind what he call the meat target I think it is. the fleece actually does catch the bullets much of the time. Paul is one guy who does put together no nosense shooting videos.

I watched a few, tough gettin past the fat ads though. Got me curious about the fleece. In black powder days they used a stuffing box filled with cotton. The cotton fibers catch flaws in the bullet, slow and stop it without damage. I tried it with a full bale of recycled jean insulation. I had just installed wire in a house with with that stuff in the walls and NOTHING stops a drill bit faster when you hit it. 44 Special blew right through the bale, 48 inches, raingemaster had a good laugh but you don't know until you try. Maybe Kevlar fleece?
