I already own a Ruger PC - 4 in 40 S & W.

I'm thinking about buying the pistol below, since I can buy one magazine and use it in either the pistol or the carbine:

If you own one and can share any remarks about the pistol, I'd like to hear what you have to say on the subject of dependability and accuracy.

HI Ben
That's how I started too. I first bought the carbine, and liked it so much that I needed the pistol too. It is a very good combination. I am a Ruger fan, so you can't get me to expand on too many negatives.

One thing to point out though is that my carbine is fussy about being loaded only with Ruger 40S&W magazines. This is unfortunate because I also have a P89 and found that both 9mm and 40 magazines would work in it. I could load 12 9mm rounds in the ten capacity 40 mag and it would still function perfectly. However, the PC-4 will tolerate only magazines made for the .40. This is unfortunate because I have a LOT of pre-ban high capacity mags for the P89, and none of them can be used in the carbine. They all look the same though, so I have to be very careful that the correct magazine goes in the correct gun.

Interesting about the magazines.

What about accuracy with your Ruger .40 pistol ? ?

Do you have a particular load that seems to me any more accurate than another ?

Mike:

I haven't counted out any $$$ yet, maybe I need to look at the CZ 1st.

Thanks,

Just bought one yesterday. They come highly recommended by Deputy Al or 9.3X62 Al or whatever he calls himself now...

Another +1 for the CZ75B!

You can get them in 9mm and .40. If you get the .40, you can get a conversion barrel for .357 SIG, if you like. Finishes are polycoat (baked on black enamel like), Satin Nickle, Stainless, Glossy Black, or Dual Tone nickel/blued. They are available in DA/SA or SA only. There is also an ambidexterous model. Don't want a full size? Get the compact. Want a polymer frame? Get the Phantom.

I've got the CZ75B .40 S&W in Satin Nickle.

There's a CZ out there for everybody!

My wife has the EAA Witness CZ clone in 40. VERY nice handling gun, I like it despite it's being stainless.

It's that Hi Power type grip. Take a CZ or Witness in hand and then grab a Ruger or Smith. Feels like ya just grabbed the big end of a baseball bat.
