LOL! That's a good tune (Eagles - Take It Easy), used to play it all the time back when I was playing guitar! Those were the days! Jim, I wish I were with you rollin' thru AZ! Shiny side up, amigo!

Just wait until you go another couple hundred miles and hit Needles, CA.

I went through there a couple of years ago and gas was $4.75 a gallon.

Just checked the current price and it is $6.79...

Oh ya. Winslow Arizona. Standing on the corner was a block away from my first sporting goods business. And gas anywhere from Winslow to Kingman is always high.

Thirty plus years ago, I always liked driving home on I-40 when I went on leave. Gas kept getting cheaper the further east I went.

Of course the opposite was true when it came time to go back to the Navy too.

Met a girl from Winslow, for about 5 minutes. Was in the Dr's waiting room. Was too short a time.

Well guys,
The Eagles are coming to Salt Lake City soon.
You can get your seats starting at $168 each and it goes up from there.
I always enjoyed listening to the Eagles, but not for $168+ per seat.

one the subject of ticket prices
filling up the tank a few times and the price of admission to live shows you sure do got to be committed and have deep pockets these days. I had been hoping to go to NOJF this year but it aint happening, just got in a stack of doctor bills that's gonna be a stretch to cover.
but I kind of do understand the high prices of live shows. its the only way a lot of entertainers and all the people they employ have to make any real money. with the way copyright holders only make pennies per play on streaming compared to what it used to be per album back when all music was on vinyl.
one that really floored me a couple/few years ago was the $1700 or so tickets to Eric claptons crossroads festival in Dallas.

I don't think everyone who stands on that corner gets the same treatment. At least 2 years ago I didn't. And there is a red flat board truck there now.
