I just got a .41 long colt Colt 1877Revolver . Its my first gun show in a year since covid, and I bought this...

now Im looking for reloading supplies. Everything I saw is out of stock. I live in Canada but I usually order from buffalo arms and similar companies, sadly all out of stock. Would anyone have any pointers on where to look and tips on reloading ? is there any brass that can be formed or bullets I can use?

Starline makes (made, don't know when they will run it again) brass. You use the 38 Special shell holder for their brass. Bernie at Old West Molds will fix you up with heeled boolit molds and he adapts a Lee crimp die to crimp the heeled boolit. He may have some data as well. I'm using a Lee special order (years ago, Molly had it made) that is a 200gr, heeled, hollow base mold. I doubt you will find one of those, I have a couple of molds that I'm no longer using since I got that one - PM me if you have any interest.

You have a cartridge that has a .386" internal diameter and a gun with a .401" barrel. It was designed with a heeled bullet and later they came out with a .386" hollow base bullet that was supposed to bump up to .401". If you can find an old Lyman .386 HB mold with HB pin that is what it is for. I've never tried the .386" boolit - I've only used heeled boolits.
